Diploma in Wildlife Forensic
The Diploma in Wildlife Forensic is a specialized program designed to equip learners with practical and scientific skills necessary for investigating crimes related to wildlife, including poaching, illegal trade, and habitat destruction. The course focuses on the application of forensic science in wildlife protection and law enforcement, blending theory with hands-on laboratory and field training.

Course Objectives:

To provide students with an understanding of forensic principles and techniques applied in wildlife crime investigation.
To develop the ability to collect, preserve, and analyze biological and physical evidence from wildlife crime scenes.
To equip learners with skills in species identification using forensic tools such as DNA analysis and fingerprinting.
To promote knowledge of national and international wildlife conservation laws and policies.
To prepare graduates for professional roles in wildlife protection agencies, forensic laboratories, and conservation organizations.

Minimum Entry Qualification:

KCSE Mean Grade: C– (minus)

Duration:

18 months (1½ years), usually divided into three semesters, including coursework, practical training, and examinations.
